Handcrafted textured coastal wall art - white porcelain shells glazed to capture the colours of the ocean.

Each of the framed ceramic pieces of wall art comprise of hand sculpted porcelain shells which are fired in the kiln. The individual shells are then glazed before being fired a second time.

As each piece of beach themed wall art is handmade, from the initial sculpting of the porcelain shells to the glazing of each individual shell, there will be slight differences in each one.

When complete the porcelain shells are then assembled and mounted in a white frame to create a unique piece of wall art.

The inspiration for my wall art comes from the beach and sea near my home in Rye in East Sussex. The colours of the sea which can change by the day and even the hour are reflected in the colours and glazes which I select to decorate the porcelain shells. This piece is inspired by the rock pools which are left behind at low tide on Broomhill Sands, near Rye.

The framed ceramic art can be hung on the wall or free standing. Fitments for both options are affixed to the reverse of the frame.

The frame measures 27cm x 27cm with a depth of 6cm.
